Election Day

Voting is one of the most important responsibilities of citizenship. If you are not yet registered to vote, you may register in person at the Giles County Election Commission Office, located at 222 W. Madison St. in Pulaski. You may also register to vote online through the State of Tennessee.
To become a registered voter, you must be a United States citizen, live in Tennessee and be at least 18 years old by the time of the next election. You must not have been convicted of a felony unless your voting rights have been restored. All voter registrations must be completed at least 30 days before an upcoming election in order to vote in that election.
To vote in person on Election Day or during early voting, you must present a valid driver’s license or photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, the State of Tennessee or the federal government. These IDs are acceptable even if they are expired. College student IDs are not accepted.
Giles County is governed by a county executive/mayor and 21 county commissioners. These seats, along with other county offices except assessor of property and highway superintendent, are elected in non-presidential election years.
Before you vote, please take a moment to make sure your voter registration is current and that your address is correct. This is especially important if you have recently moved, changed your name or have not voted in a while.
